Images taken on assignment's that are worthy of becoming an eleven.

Irina Voronina PlayBoy Playmate

Irina Voronina Russian model/actor was chosen to be Playboy's Playmate® for the Month in January 2001. I had the pleasure to work with this lovely blonde 5’ 10” 35C-25-36 model for a shoot that was published in Australia People magazine, Irina was featured in the movie Reno 911 were she played a topless beach bunny. This image was taken from one of the cover shoot’s that was also published in Playboy magazine. What make's this a eleven is just the fact that it’s an amazing image with a life of its own. I designed and made the backdrop for the shoot. You can find out how I shot this image from reviewing my book. “Tips & Tricks

Yvette Nelson

These images of model/actor Yvette Nelson were shot for a catalog (Color). But swiching the shot into a B/W it now lends itself to a classic editorial look that so many magazines in the 60s used to publish. Today many photographer's favor shooting on a gray backdrop for there editorials or just go out side to be inspired by what ever they can find. Its also said that you should never let a model put her finger in her mouth or a hand on a hip like a teapot, its so blaze, but I like this shot with the sexy gypsy girl look and Yvette's hand on her hip is just low enough to not be "My little teapot", for me it works and that's why I think it's an eleven.

Tiffany Richardson

This shot is of model Tiffany Richardson AKA: Tiffany Lee a top pinup model in California. I found this location in South laguna beach California and making a note of the place and time that I should be there to take the shot, which was going to be a week later makes it part of the secret to getting a great image on location. This shot was going to be one of my images in a calendar that I had been commissioned to shot with 12 other lovely girls in swimsuits each with a different location. Why I like this shot? is because its all natural lighting and that the timing of the day was spot on. I also did not have to take a lot of equipment to shoot it. We did use a reflector to bounce the light back onto the model and I opened my f stop 1/2 stop on the camera, to make sure I got shadow detail. By using the 4 P’s in photography it translates to why this image its an eleven. “Preparation permits perfect photography”. Plus Tiffany looks fantastic & what a great model to work with.

This shot is hard to tell if its not an eleven photographically as the model is such a beautiful looking women. But the story is about why I think it is a shot that is an eleven. I went to a clothing company to see about getting some outfits for a shoot and one of them was this outfit. When a top model came to my studio for a shoot I asked if she would put the outfit on and WHAM what a fantastic look on her. The pinup was back in town. I positioned the model so she would be standing part of the way out of my studio ( I had a very large grange door) in the soft light and then I bounced some hard sunlight back with the use of a reflecter. As the back drop was inside in the studio it had no light on it so it went black which was just as I wanted to happen. That helped the model stand out more, a uncomplicated shot. That’s what makes it an eleven.

Anonymous Bad Bunny Cocktail.

In shooting this image I gave a lot of thought to what I wanted, I needed the model to have some anonymity that's why I went with the mask not just bunny ears alone. The bunny mask was the starting point for the shot, Next came the outfit a black corset and long black gloves with black stockings like latex. I also went with some shoes that would (No pun) stand the test of time. As for the X’s on each nipple plus the leather choker. I think it ad's an edge of erotic fetishism. Not just another topless shot of a model in a bunny idea.

The white vignetted background helps to keep the shape of the bunny on the cocktail stall. I shot this with a ring light as my main light and the background was blown out with two lights pointed at the white wall behind on to each side for an even wash of light. The martini she is holding is a Frank Sinatra with two olive’s. I like to think this shot will stand the test of time and that is why its an Eleven.

The “Bad Bunny Cocktail” has become a favorite image of my work as of lately. It's a classic look, Bad Bunny Cocktail has all the ingredient’s of a timeless shot. Lovely model, naughty, sexy & just bad as she will go all the way to Eleven. I like to think this shot will stand the test of time and that is why it's an Eleven..
